This policy outlines the protocols for hardware returns, software licensing cancellations, and service-related refunds. We prioritize technical integrity; therefore, returned security components undergo rigorous diagnostic testing before we issue a refund.
1. Statutory Right to Cancel
For hardware products purchased from our website, customers have a legal right to cancel/return their order within 14 days of receipt. This period allows you to inspect and try goods. However, this right does not extend to bespoke EPOS software configurations or security systems specifically customized to a client’s site or particular needs.
To initiate a return, you must make a clear request via info@techcube.co.uk. Goods must be returned within 14 days.
Condition of Goods: Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. If the value of the hardware is lessened due to unnecessary handling (e.g., mounting a CCTV camera or configuring an NVR), we reserve the right to reject the return or deduct an amount from the refund matching the loss in value.
2. Faulty Hardware and SSAIB Standards
Techcube hardware is engineered for continuous operation. If a device fails, customers are advised to seek appropriate help according to the following timelines:
Within 30 Days: You can request a full refund or a replacement for faulty goods.
30 Days to 6 Months: We reserve the right to repair or replace the unit. If a repair is unsuccessful, a replacement, full refund, or price reduction is offered.
Beyond 6 Months: Warranty claims are subject to specific terms. You can claim warranty only if the defect existed at the time of delivery.
3. Non-Returnable Items and Software
Certain products are exempt from the standard return policy due to security and licensing protocols:
- Digital Licenses: EPOS software licenses or cloud storage subscriptions are non-refundable once the activation key is generated or the service is accessed.
- Cables and Consumables: Cut-to-length cabling, specialized connectors, and opened storage media (SD cards/Hard Drives) cannot be returned for a refund.
- Custom Builds: Pre-configured server racks or custom-coded retail interfaces.
4. Return Merchandise Authorization
The success of returns and refunds depends on the RMA workflow. Do not ship items back without an authorized RMA number. Follow the specific process:
- Submit a ticket via our official support channel (info@techcube.co.uk) with proof of purchase (invoice).
- Receive an RMA authorization and shipping instructions.
- Return the package using a tracked, insured service. Techcube is not liable for items lost in transit.
- Technical Assessment: Our staff inspects the hardware for physical damage, water ingress, or electrical surges not covered by warranty.
5. Refund Calculations and Logistics
Refunds are processed within 14 days of Techcube receiving the returned goods. The refund will include the standard, one-time logistics cost. Even if you opted for premium or express delivery, only the basic rate is reimbursed.
